Jingfei Liu is currently a PhD student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Before he came back to Georgia Tech as a returning graduate student in 2017, he worked at Georgia Tech Lorraine from 2009 to 2014 as graduate researcher earning his PhD in Mechanics and Energy from Université de Lorraine, France, and half finishing his ECE PhD with Georgia Tech. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as a postdoc research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at University of California, Davis.
His research is focused on ultrasound, which covers a wide range of topics including physical acoustics, ultrasound nondestructive evaluation, acoustic signal/image processing and biomedical ultrasound. His current research focus is biomedical ultrasound elasticity imaging and therapeutic ultrasound instrumentation.
During his spare time, he enjoys doing sports especially skiing and hiking. He also likes travelling and watching movies.
