Elena Vassilieva is a part-time Sr. Research Scientist with Ph.D in biochemistry and postdoctoral training in protein structure/function, epithelial cell biology and immunology. Before joining the lab, she was an Instructor at Emory University school of Medicine where she developed vaccines and adjuvants in animal models and studied human B cells.
She previously collaborated with Georgia Institute of Technology on microneedles for skin vaccination starting from animal studies to a clinical trial.
Elena’s hobbies include bicycling, petroglyphs, and classical music.
